BOA Partners with Phairah Agro ventures in empowering Women and Youth into Agribusiness in Nigeria

With over four decades in Agricultural lending in rural communities, Bank of Agriculture Limited the foremost and only Agricultural and Rural Development Bank in Nigeria has started a Women and Youth Empowerment program which flagged off on the 7th of March,2020 at the Head office in Kaduna.

The occasion which witnessed a turnout of interested beneficiaries also attracted the presence of many important dignitaries like Hon. Mukhtar Ahmed Monrovia, House member representing Kaduna-South standing in for the Executive Governor of Kaduna State Mal. Nasiru Ahmad EL Rufai as the chief host.

Other invited Guests includes the Representative of Hon. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development in person of Alh. Sani Sabiu (Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture), Representative of the Emir of Zazzau Alh. Shehu Tijjani (Barden Kudun Zazzau), Chairman Phairah Agro Ventures Limited Alh. Sani M Shaabau (Dan Buram Zazzau), Chairman H&D Engineering Consult Alh Ahmad Tijjani Umar, Representative of the Kaduna State House of Assembly Committee on Agriculture Mallam Aliyu Dabo, Chairman Edijan Group of Companies Mr. E. Omale and other distinguish guest.

The programme mainly a training and capacity building initiative was intended to underscore the crucial role with appropriate technology and knowledge in uplifting the Nigerian MSME’s.

It’s in this connection that Bank of Agriculture Limited found complimentary in partnering with PHAIRAH AGRO VENTURES, a firm that has gained appreciable strength and experience in livestock production and animal husbandry.

The programme is set to deliver and empower Small Scale and backyard poultry farmers with Day Old Chicks (DOC), alongside other accompanying inputs like the feed, drugs and medical treatment in all the 36 States of the Federation.

The Mammoth crowd were happy, especially those beneficiaries who took home Day-old-chicks of Cockerels.
