BOA CONFERRED WITH AN AWARD BY MAAN
The Ag. Managing Director/CEO, Bank of Agriculture Limited (BOA), Alwan Ali Hassan, receiving an award of honour presented by Maize Association of Nigeria (MAAN) from His Royal Highness, Dr. Kabiru Musa Ibrahim, Emir of Azare on March 22nd, 2022.
The award is in recognition of the Bank’s contribution towards Agricultural Development, Food Security and Innovation in Anchor Borrower Programme (ABP) in Nigeria. It was part of activities marking the 30th Anniversary of Maize Association of Nigeria (MAAN) and unveiling of 2nd National Maize Pyramids of the Association, which took place in Kaduna.
Bank of Agriculture Ltd’s association with MAAN has spanned several decades through financing of small holder maize farmers and participation in the Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP). The Bank’s contribution in financing the ABP led to an increased maize production, creation of employment, supporting food security in the country and generation foreign exchange earnings for the economy.
